Spring 2010 Events

• Western Little League Day: Saturday March 20th (If rained out, make-up date will be Sat. March 27th). This in an amazing opportunity for everyone. The league has partnered with Lexington Baseball School (www.lexingtonbaseballschool.com) to conduct 3 hour instructional mini-camps. The cost will be only $20 per child. The cost for 3 hours of this professional group instruction is normally between $95-150. Coaches will be in attendance to help.   • T-ball and Rookie League: 9am-12noon
  • Minor League: 12noon- 3pm
  • Little League: 3pm-6pm
• Regular Season games will begin April 12th.
• Opening ceremonies will be Sat. April 17th. Coaches/Players/Parents & Relatives should all plan to attend.
• Annual Parents Night Out & Auction: The 7th annual Parent’s Night Out is around the corner and you don’t want to miss this opportunity to meet other Western parents and help the league raise some money. The money raised will help with the purchase of new equipment, field maintenance and uniforms.
  • WHEN: Saturday May 15th, 6:30-11:00pm.
  • WHERE: The K-House on UK's campus (click here for directions)
  • SILENT AUCTION: Featured items are 4 one day Disney park hopper passes, 2 Air Tran roundtrip airline tickets, a week @ UK baseball camp, 4 Cincinnati Reds tickets, Louisville Package, Box for the Legends, Restaurant certificates and much more!!
  • 50/50 BUCKET: Put your name and $10 in the bucket (as many times as you want) and at the end of the evening we’ll divide the money between the league and the person’s name that is drawn!
  • LIVE BAND: Jordan & Parker will entertain us throughout the evening. They are frequently seen at Murray’s and Regatta’s Patios.
  • FOOD: Moe’s will cater the food this year. We’ll have a buffet for parents to enjoy throughout the night.
  • TICKET SALES: Tickets must be purchased before the event. Beer and Wine tickets must also be purchased in advance. There will be no beer and wine ticket sales at the event!

• Western Little League night with the Lexington Legends, Tuesday June 1st. Game time is 7:05pm, but pregame festivities start around 6:00pm.
  • All players attending the game get to participate in a pregame parade around the bases.
  • It is $.25 hot dog night.

• The League picnic, closing ceremonies and trophy/awards presentation, and tournament finals will be Sat. June 19th.
• All-Star practice begins just after that and runs through at least the middle of July. If we have some teams do well like we have the last 3 years, then tournament games could run through the beginning of August.
